I am sure we are all guilty, from time to time, of referring to Italy in the above and many other terms, often to ridicule it.

However, whilst in some cases the above is true, unbeknown to many, Italy is also a land of great achievements. 

Italy is not solely about Pizza & Pasta, despite how good Pizza & Pasta is, when made the true Italian way.

Therefore, to ‘kick off’ our Newsletter in 2023, we thought to highlight the following which clearly indicates that Italy:

  • INCURABLE IDLERS?

Is the EU’s largest manufacturer of furniture and the number one Furniture Exporter to non-EU Countries;

  • GESTICULATORS?

Is Europe’s second largest Exporter of Machinery, 100 Billion Euro’s worth;

  • CRAZY DRIVERS?

Has an Automotive sector which numbers 3,200 Companies, more than 1.2 Million Employees and some of the Best Brands in the World;

  • ETERNAL CHILDREN?

Is home to leading Aerospace Technologies, it is the third Country in the World to send a Satellite into Orbit;

  • DOLCE VITA LOVERS?

Is the Undisputed Leader in the production of Super Yachts with 40% of the World’s Orders;

  • FOOD ENTHOUSIASTS?

Exports 40 Billion Euro’s worth of goods in the Food & Drink Industry and related technologies, in 2015 Italy brought 145 Countries together to show the world how best to feed the Planet;

  • FOOTBALL MANIACS?

Is the Country with the greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and yes, it has won the ‘Real’ Football’s World Cup 4 times

We trust that, for those born in Italy or of Italian origins, the above makes us proud of ‘La Bella Italia’. For others who may not have been aware of the above, we trust that we have enlightened you.
